Abused Dog Has The Most Unusual Smile And He’s Beautiful

When Zipper came to a shelter after he was discovered walking the streets as a stray, staff saw that the 8-year-old canine was one of a kind. She's a sweet, sociable, normal dog - except she has a misshapen jaw, which gives her a wonderful, unique smile.

Zipper's unique smile seemed to have no effect on her, according to Huntsville Animal Services staff. She eats regularly and enjoys the treats, and doesn't seem to realize they are unusual.

“We don’t know what causes the jaw malformation,” Erin Webb, a volunteer with Huntsville Animal Services, told The Dodo. "We don't know why that is. She has a big bite and her teeth are really spaced apart."

Zipper has likely been an outdoor dog her whole life and was not well cared for, based on her condition when she came to the shelter. She has lost a significant amount of fur due to flea allergies, and appears to have had multiple puppies in the past. She may have been put down because she was no longer wanted or wanted, but her new family at the shelter knows how important she is and can't wait to help her find a forever home.

The cloud may look different from other canines...

...However, when you see her unique smile, you can't help but want to get to know her.

"Because she's an old dog, she's a quiet, sweet girl," Webb explained. “She seems to enjoy cuddling on trips.” She enjoys being out with other dogs, and has made friends with Mr. Mike, our other old dog.

Zipper gets along well with other dogs and seems to get along well with youngsters. She has a really sweet and gentle personality, and would likely do well in a variety of families, according to the shelter. Zipper's life has likely been difficult, and she is now looking for a place to retire with a family that will embrace her as she is.
