The story of Woody, a dog searching for a forever home. The dog had an incomplete childhood.
According to SNARR Animal Rescue, Woody was attacked by another dog when he was five weeks old, and had to "self-medicate without veterinary attention." After the owner tied up the dog and left him outside, SNARR arrived and rescued Woody. Woody was left alone for six weeks, surviving on the kindness of neighbors who brought him food, until he was discovered and rescued by SNARR.
Woody's family had previously moved and left the dog behind, according to a SNARR Facebook post. “We made the decision to remove him from this loveless environment.” Although the dog's face was disfigured, he was healthy. “Woody looks different from other dogs, but that doesn't bother us; In fact, it makes us love him even more.
Rescuers adore him for reasons other than his appearance. They quickly realize that their Pit Bull has a big heart. When Woody arrived at his foster home, his foster mother was angry.
“I had a fever the first day we got Woody, and the dog sensed something was wrong and was always there for me,” says Jimmy Bond's adoptive mother. He spent the entire afternoon with me on the couch. He became a shadow of myself, ensuring that I was always safe and protected. Woody loves to lie on the bed and rub his head on my chest.
Likewise, Woody, now 8 months old, is making up for lost “puppy” time and is a joy to be around. A dog with a split nose is looking for a forever home.
SNARR must arrange appropriately for anyone wishing to adopt the dog as they want to find the best possible home for Woody. "Woody, so cute, needs some love and work, he's a bit sexy," they wrote. He also needs a home without cats because he enjoys chasing them away. “We also think they will grow better in a house with only females,” Sinar added.
He is currently being bred with four other cows and is in remarkably good condition. Woody gets along well with children, but we think older dogs (10+) are best for him. He is not aggressive against anything or anyone, but he is a large dog that can become grumpy and short-tempered at times, so he prefers larger dogs.
