The transformation a haircut can do to dogs is truly amazing. Unfortunately, many stray and neglected canines do not receive the necessary care, resulting in matted fur that causes them great distress.
A stray dog was recently discovered in a condition with an amount of fur that made it look like a wig. Fortunately, a rescue organization called Macs Mission stepped in. It provided her with a radical change in her life.
Missouri-based Macs Mission found this dog in good condition while wandering in the middle of the road. The rescue team named her Pear because of her appearance. Thick fur covered its body, making it difficult to recognize it as a dog.
In fact, Beers' condition was so severe that he looked more like a clump of hair than a dog. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, volunteers from rescue organizations wasted no time in giving her a much-needed “spa session” to rid her of the filth.
“We cleaned her, carefully shaved her fur, and gave her a soothing bath to get rid of the dirt and fleas,” explained Rochelle Stephen, founder of the rescue organization. And then, Bear slept peacefully when she finally settled into one of our accommodations.
The effort to save Pear and restore her to health is truly heartwarming. It serves as a reminder of the impact that simple acts of care and care can have on the lives of animals. Pear was a sweet and kind girl throughout the whole process. We had the pleasure of witnessing her patience as we carefully removed her horrific mats. This task took some time. Pear remained quiet the entire time.
The rescue informed us that Bear was lucky to have avoided any maggot infestation in her fur or being involved in a car accident. Unfortunately she lost one eye, most likely due to injury.
