Buddy the Dog has made a recovery one year after suffering burns caused by a Kid.

Buddy, a dog, came to attention a year ago when he became the victim of a horrific accident in which a child suffered a violent burning attack that caused serious damage to his face.

Despite the experience, Buddy never lost his resilience. Over the months he made an incredible recovery. Now, a year later, his new owner has confirmed that Paddy has “fully recovered” and is doing well.

Back in April, Paddy first made headlines when he returned home with horrific burns to his face after being set on fire. The intensity of the fire burned his body. It caused him such excruciating pain that his eyelids swollen and closed, causing him to go blind. Additionally, he was found with an extension cord wrapped around his neck, a means of restraining him.

The person responsible for the act was eventually identified as the person who admitted to setting Buddy on fire. However, due to Mississippi law stating that individuals under the age of 12 cannot be charged with crimes, no legal action can be taken against them.

Due to the severity of Buddy's injuries, he was taken to the Tunica Humane Society for treatment. His veterinarians initially expressed concern about his prognosis. He warned that it would be a journey ahead of him. However, they have been pleasantly surprised by his progress over time and now have expectations about his recovery.

According to Sandy Williams of the Tunica Humane Society, it's hard to believe someone could be so cruel. My friend, the dog was friendly and gentle and would often follow the kids around the neighborhood.

Dr. Elizabeth Swanson, a professor and veterinary surgeon, said Buddy's vital signs are good. However, being patient means that there is a road ahead to overcome.

Buddy was transported to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine for treatment. The vets were amazed at Buddy's attitude despite facing adversity.

In an update from the Humane Society they stated that Buddy was in good spirits and wagging his tail while being completely cooperative.

Over time, Buddy's condition gradually improved. Although he could not see because of the bandages, vets were relieved to find that his eyelids were not affected by the burns.

The Humane Society reports that he continues to make progress every day. All participants praised the results of the skin grafts. He admitted that he never disappointed his doctors. Healing burns can be difficult. Friend manages well.

"Buddy's appearance showed improvement during the bandage changes today. As he continues to heal, he's also regaining some of his basic abilities."

After undergoing months of rehabilitation and receiving skin grafts, Buddy gradually returns to himself with bandages.

“Buddy is clearly happier and more playful now that his ears are no longer bound by bandages,” Tunica Humane Society Summer commented. “I'm sure he feels a great deal of happiness as he is slowly regaining a sense of normalcy in his life.”

August marked a milestone for Paddy when the bandages covering his face were finally removed allowing him to see again months later.

According to the Humane Society, "His eyes were wide open. He appeared very conscious." “Thanks for all your prayers, friends can still see him.”

“The tragic incident in which a child set his face on fire changed pets’ lives in an instant.”

Restoring the ability to see was a step in the rehabilitation of this miserable dog, and those caring for him believe that his true personality is beginning to emerge again.

According to Sandy Williams of the Tunica Humane Society, Buddy's behavior has completely changed since he started enjoying the sun.

“He is full of fun and joy as he walks around the clinic with a ball in his mouth.”

“He really loves carrying those balls around to show everyone.”

Buddy, who suffered burns a year ago, has now recovered, the Animal Society has confirmed.

Buddy is thriving under Dr. Swanson's care at his home, according to the vet.

“His face is now completely healed,” according to the Tunica Humane Society. "He doesn't need to wear that cone of shame." At present he spends his days like any dog; Play fetch and go on long walks with their humans and be spoiled because he deserves it for being such a good dog!

“Buddy’s incredible journey back from his injuries is truly a miracle and all who cared for him should be extremely proud.”

The team at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine came together to celebrate Buddy's recovery.

“After doing activities, receiving hugs from all the hospital staff, and playing fetch, Buddy is now thriving in his home!” The foundation shared an intimate photo of Buddy on Facebook, where he looked incredibly happy and content.

It is difficult to remember the past of friends. It is truly inspiring to see the tremendous progress he has made over the course of a year. We are very grateful to everyone who participated ntributed to his recovery.
