Tragic photo of a dog in desperate need of a heartbreak Less than a week ago, Stray Rescue of St. Louis call to the rescue. It was a good Samaritan who contacted the nonprofit asking for help.
No one knew how long the dog, which rescuers named "Jessie," had lived on the streets, searching for food and barely surviving. Jessie was in such terrible condition that she had to be taken to the vet hospital. The infection was smelled in the car by staff and volunteers, and her wounds were not fresh. Her eye was injured, she had a deep gash on her head, and her tongue was hanging out of her mouth.
When she started to feel better, there were already hints; Jesse has won the hearts of the entire hospital staff:
This is the most adorable little girl. She is only one year old and weighs just over 20 pounds. Her swelling has gone down significantly, and we'll see what happens when we give her a stuffed baby to cuddle with.
And just to update readers on Jesse's whereabouts, we have a great update from Stray Rescue of St. John's. Louis:
Welcome back Jesse
Today, we brought Jesse home. We will never be able to thank her doctors and nurses enough for taking care of her and getting her to this point with around the clock care. Today, all she has to do is get to know us and relax. “Oh, she's so small!” Everyone who meets her says this.
Think how great it would feel for Jessie to spend time in the sun rolling onto her back. Imagine how you feel when you receive only nice compliments and hugs.
Thank you to everyone who helped her meet her needs. Thanks to your help, she was able to stay in the hospital and receive the emergency care she needed.
Her procedures will be scheduled soon, but for now, she will be able to rest in her specially selected foster family. There will be more updates soon.
What could be more beautiful than a tragic beginning that turns into a wonderful story of love and healing?
