Alex was ready to give up. He was severely malnourished, dehydrated and exhausted, and his wounds were infested with worms.
He was on his deathbed. The worst part was that he was stuck in a remote place on the side of the road, with no way to escape on his own. He was stuck because he was wearing a collar with a long chain. To make matters worse, it was completely indistinguishable from the road. He had only a slim chance of being saved in time.
But little did he know that his life was about to improve dramatically and that his past would no longer haunt him. A person named Alex (after whom the puppy was named) noticed the faded pup while cleaning the area.
He immediately sought help from the Feed Friends Foundation, a local animal rescue organization.
They agreed to take him in and found him a wonderful foster home in the Haddocks to care for him until he recovered physically and mentally.
His road to recovery will be long and difficult, but Alex and his supporters won't give up.
He met new dogs and cats in his foster home who showed him the ropes and helped him along the way. Alex was an amazing dog and adored every animal he encountered.
Alex began to heal from the inside out as time went on. The wound in his body and the wound in his heart were healed. He has found a loving forever home after making a full recovery and is currently enjoying his second chance at life!
