After heroically defending her 10-year-old master from a coyote, Yorkie puppy Missy receives praise.
Video of the incident shows Lily Kwan, 10, and Missy, 10, as they walk around the Toronto neighborhood when a coyote starts chasing them.
Lily starts screaming for help and then releases Missy's leash, trying to get a neighbor to help.
To save her young human, Missy now sets out to fight the wolf. Reporters from News 6 quoted Lilly as saying, "I went to the sidewalk and started screaming for help." Nobody seems to be listening to me. I recently saw a coyote trying to attack my dog, so I started ringing doorbells and knocking on doors. However, only one neighbor allowed me to enter.
“I really thought this little dog could protect this huge person, trying to fend off that huge wolf,” said the owner. I adore her so much because she is such a brave dog.
Despite having to pay the price, Missy manages to save Lily from the wolf. She was injured, and required surgery on her body and leg.
In order to raise the $10,000 needed for the procedure, Lilly's mother, Dorothy Kwan, started a GoFundMe campaign. They quickly surpassed this, and so far, they are $2,000 short of the new target of $38,500.
According to Dorothy: "My dog would do anything for our family, so I honestly wasn't shocked that she did." Our young heroine, she.
She continues, "Especially with someone yelling and screaming, I never expected a coyote to come out during the day. Despite all the yelling, he kept getting close to her and our dog; he was so violent."
Although dog loyalty has been known for a long time, this is a great reminder to never take it for granted. Hey, Messi, congratulations!
