It was a very moving moment witnessing a dog's unwavering loyalty for the first time in my existence.
The loyal dog walked alongside the funeral procession for 3 km without taking a break. The dog stayed with its owner until the final destination, the cemetery, where its owner was buried.
In early June, an elderly woman from Malaysia died due to her old age and poor health. Her loved ones, family members and neighbors accompanied her on her last trip to the cemetery. During the procession, a dog followed them all the way to the cemetery, covering a distance of about 3 km.
The dog, Bobby, had been the deceased woman's faithful companion for several years. When her last owner sniffed, Bobby was left heartbroken and unable to express his grief. He chooses to channel his feelings by running through the funeral procession. Escorting the body, Bobby silently followed it to the cemetery and refused to stop until they reached their destination.
When the convoy stopped at the cemetery, Bobby was seen stuck near the car that carried his owner's remains. He kept sniffing and searching for his master, his mouth open from exhaustion. When the hole was dug, Bobby quickly raced over to it and lay beside it. Despite being chased, he refused to leave the place. When the coffin was lowered, Bobby solemnly remained there as if bidding farewell to his master.
Bobby reluctantly left the burial site only after being comforted and reassured by his offspring. This touching incident brought everyone to tears, with many commenting on the dog's unwavering loyalty. It was an unforgettable moment, as not many have witnessed such devotion in dogs before.
I'm not sure how much time it will take for Bobby to heal from the departure of his former caretaker. However, there is some comfort in knowing that he won't have to put up with a life of seclusion for the rest of his life. The elderly man's descendants agreed to take Bobby home.
