The veterinarian quickly examines the puppy and diagnoses exuditis. A condition that causes the stomach to swell due to fluid buildup.
Ascitus can be caused by many things and we knew we needed to run blood tests to find out the underlying cause of your pup's condition.
"We knew that the fluid forming in his stomach could cause major complications and we met and were concerned that he might not pull through."
With around the clock care and attention from a dedicated team, the puppy is finally starting to get better. Over time, the puppy's belly began to contract and almost all of the fluid was removed from his stomach.
He started to grow more active and playful and we were thrilled to see him taking an interest in the world around him.
Despite the obstacles the puppy faced, he never lost his playful and lovable attitude. He enjoyed socializing with our team members and was always eager to play with his toys.
As the days turn into weeks helping the puppies continue to improve, we work closely with Pierre to monitor his progress and provide the care he needs to fully recover.
