The Perez family, of Raymondville, Texas, is fighting to get their dog back, after the mega-city pet management adopted him to another family.
The week before Thanksgiving, Snowflake, whom they saved from a cataract in Texas in June, slipped and ran. The family searched for hours, but no miles.
He ends up managing the mega-city pet, which he adopts to another family before giving the Perez family a chance to claim him.
Snowflakes President Hector Perez explained to KRGV through the cuts how important it was for his family to miss their cherished dogs.
Perez says Sanctuary admitted they made a mistake and told Perez that Snowflake's new adoptive family did not want him back.
Despite his neat sweats, and already talking to the Raymondville Police Chief, the Perez family didn't win Snowflake back.
The worst part, Perez says, is that Snowflake's new family has a hard life.
“I can still hear him canoe,” he told KRGV, “if you swing by.” He belongs to us, he’s part of our family.
The mega-city attorney is currently looking into the incident, and Perez is also weighing his options. Perez hopes Snowflake will be back with his family before Christmas.
