During a snowstorm in Istanbul, locals show their kindness to homeless animals as the temperature drops. Many store owners have graciously opened their doors to stray cats and dogs, providing them with a warm and safe place to rest. Their merciful disposition was greatly appreciated by these tired and cold animals.
At the Penti store, manager Arzu Inan welcomed some stray dogs to take shelter inside while the customers were still around. In a Facebook post, she shared her belief that true love is what provides warmth. Another animal lover, Selcuk Bayal, allowed twelve stray cats to take refuge in his café, even if it would affect his business.
The animals in the Atrium Mall were receiving support not only from the management but also from the concerned customers. One such customer, Ali Celik, found a group of stray animals outside the mall. Three strangers were taking care of them by providing cardboard for them to lie on and blankets to keep them warm. It's heartening to see people coming together to help these furry creatures.
Fangs were also fed. Selleck, interviewed by The Dodo, expressed his admiration for the anonymous individuals who chose to help without seeking recognition: "Their goal was to help the animals, rather than offer their help." Selleck stated. As a result of people's contribution and sympathy, many cold and weary animals received much-needed solace and relief from the cold weather.
It is likely that the sympathetic actions of shopkeepers and customers prevented deaths because they generously welcomed those in need. It is hoped that their charitable examples will inspire others to extend the same kindness.
