Stray Dog Living Under A Vehicle Waited Several Weeks Until Somebody Finds Him

A stray dog in a residential neighborhood in Missouri was found growling under a car by Stray Rescue of St. Donna Lochmann, the rescuer, is very experienced with dogs, and she knew firsthand that the dog was scared and trying to protect itself.

Hungry, the puppy devoured the Vienna sausage that Lochmann had thrown under the truck. The rescuer knew she could lure the dog out by throwing in more snacks, and it worked. The dog, who had terrible sores covering his hips, walked right out, wagging his tail.

Then I took the very underweight pup to the vet for a checkup. To get to a healthy weight, he was put on a refeeding plan.

Fortunately, the dog, who was named Avalanche, was quickly fostered. He's doing a great job and will be up for adoption soon.
