Deformed Dog Gets Ignored Because Adopters Think He’s Hideous

A deformed puppy is neglected because potential owners think he is ugly, and his owner loves him dearly, offering him a wonderful life despite his unique genetic condition.

Every dog is amazing. However, these are wonderful animals to be appreciated, despite any specific needs, long-term scars, or unusual traits. One dog named Walter was inadvertently left at the shelter. An animal lover's heart is broken over the reasons why a dog is so often ignored. A volunteer welcomed an animal lover, a woman named Gabby, to the shelter where she was rescuing another dog. Walter was there when Gabby arrived.

Hey Gabe, you have to see that dog, exclaimed the volunteer. The volunteer thought Gabby would be able to help Walter find a forever home because she helps dogs with unique needs. Gabby could tell the strange dog was nothing out of the ordinary once she laid eyes on him. This little dog or that one with a bad bite you've never seen before. Furthermore, his legs and spine showed obvious deformities. Nobody bothered Gabby. In order to introduce herself, she wanted to hold Walter.

In addition to realizing that Walter was unique and special to her, Gabby also understood grim realities. Walter may take a very long time to find a home at the shelter or be euthanized because he has special needs and is hard to put up with. When passing by Walter Kennel, the majority of people frowned. Few people considered the dog unattractive. No Gabby though! It was amazing in her opinion.

The good lady knew then that she had to take Walter home and adopt him herself. Gabby quickly ignored the dogs' "flaws". Walter looked clean. It doesn't matter that he's not like other dogs or that he won't live a long life; What matters is that he is able to love, and Gabby was able to provide him with a happy life.

Mucopolysaccharidosis, or MPS VI, is a rare genetic disease that Walter carries. It's a fatal condition that gets worse with time, unfortunately. This means that while Walter may not live a long life, he can still live a good life. You could tell Gabe right away that Walter was extraordinary when they got home together. All the while, he's happy. He is determined to walk as best he can and even try to run on occasion. Walter continued to move despite the pressure on his body. He made Gabby happy too!

When Walter returns home, Gabby initially focuses on physical therapy at a small children's pool. Walter was pleased. In addition, his body was greatly strengthened by the water. Soon it will be time to attack the yard. Walter was determined to get to his mother, who had been encouraging him the whole time, and he didn't let anything stand in his way.

Because of her father's death from MS, Gabby attributes her closeness to him to Walter. In the video below, she reveals that her father had a similar disability near the end of his life but was still incredibly strong. Because of this, Gabby has developed a whole new perspective on people and animals who face hardships but persevere in spite of it. Gabby thought of her father when she saw Walter and his positive outlook. The same goes for her father.
