The monster's owner thought she would always go when the dog fell off the shrimp boat. But after two days, the flexible dog swam to the shore and returned home.
The monster dog enjoys accompanying Keith "Kiwi" Soffes, a shrimp boat captain from San Leon, Texas, on his regular outings on the water.
But the last voyage ended tragically when the monster jumped into the sea. Despite the fact that the dog had been with Keith since she was a puppy, and despite the fact that it had been a quiet day, the dog had disappeared without a trace.
Keith looked for her in all the wrong places, but she soon began to get anxious. Keith wrote: I have lost the one thing in this world that I truly loved. I said, "I have no heart left."
Keith shared the account on social media hoping a Monster would appear somewhere. People on the Internet showered him with love and prayers.
However, five days after Monster left, he received some encouraging news: Monster had successfully crossed a perilous sea passage and is still alive and well.
The monster came ashore after swimming five to six kilometers across Galveston Bay, according to FOX 26 Houston.
The creature was discovered a few days after it reached the coast. Her story stunned Keith when he heard it.
"I told him, 'Man, she wasn't able to swim,'" he told FOX 26. This dog didn't have a chance to swim that far.
Keith and Monster were happy to see each other again after struggling to separate for several days.
Keith was unable to speak because he was crying hard. She gave me continuous kisses.
In his home, the Beast is finally safe. While Monster appears unfazed despite her intense journey, Keith remains exhausted from the emotional pursuit.
Acting as if nothing had happened, Keith wrote next to a photo of the convinced dog he shared on Facebook, like a jaybird, snoozing in relief. I think she jumped on purpose. he said with a smile.
The fact that she's back makes me happy because I still adore her.
In order to make sure something similar doesn't happen again, Keith told FOX 26 that he would give the dog a tracking device and a life jacket on subsequent boat trips.
This is an amazing achievement. Monster arrived safely at the destination and was reunited with her anxious owner, which made us very happy. Clearly in love, these two are thrilled to be back together.
